1/6, Mon - Vice President Kamala Harris will preside over the certification of the 2024 election. Like all VP predecessors before her, she will do her duty. Unlike her predecessor in 2021, she faces no pressure to break the law, and no mob or angry boss demands it.

1/16, Thur - Marshall Co Democrats monthly meeting. 7pm at Marysville City Hall public room. Contact Jim for more info.

1/18, Sat - Big First CD1 Committee will officially reorganize (i.e. elect new officers and delegates). Online meeting via Zoom with check-in and credentialing starting at 1:30 pm and business meeting at 2 pm. To pre-register and get the Zoom link, contact Melinda or watch for your CD1 email if already active.

1/18, Sat - CD2 holds reorganization meeting.

1/20, Monday - Presidential Inauguration, Washington DC. Thank you President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for 4 years of outstanding service. Our values and work will endure.

1/25, Sat - CD4 holds reorganization meeting in Wichita. CD3 holds reorganization in the Kansas City metro area.

FEB 2025

2/1 Sat - Party Blue 2025, Douglas Co Dems Fundraiser. 6-9 pm at Maceli's in Lawrence. Order tickets in advance at secure.actblue.com/donate/partyblue25. Event includes a live and silent auction, buffet, open bar, and a keynote address from Kansas Democrat Matt Kleinmann! This annual event is the Douglas County Democratic Party's biggest fundraiser. With your support, we will lead the way in 2026 as Kansas Democrats. For other information, contact Melinda Lavon
