Our Work

The First Congressional District Democratic Committee is formally organized to support the work of the Kansas Democratic Party and Counties and County Parties within the 1st Congressional District. We are here to involve and connect with Democrats across our district. Formal meetings are held periodically during the year, including during the state Democratic conventions at Washington Days in February/March and Demofest in August. Special Committee volunteers from across the Big First came together to prepare a CD1 District Special Report, published in March 2024. The report examines the opportunities and challenges to build our Democratic base and to flip the Big First - an ambitious and serious objective - and to do so armed with data, local knowledge and best practices.
