Marysville Speaks Up - Hands Off!!

Despite the cold and wind, about 50 people over a wide age range from 3 counties came together Saturday April 5, 2025 in Marysville, Ks to tell the Trump administration “Hands Off !!”

The “We The People” protest, which convened at noon, was held at the Pony Express Statue in Marysville, Kansas, just off US Highway 36. The protest was held in solidarity with marches and protests throughout the country.

Many concerns were represented, from Medicare to reproductive health to book bans.  The urge to "do something" is palpable.

“We need each other not only to protest and organize, but to support one another through such a difficult time,” said a spokesperson for the Marshall County Democrats. “And if protesting is not enough, get out and run for office! School board, city council, county commission, State Senate and House, and Congress. The best time to get involved was yesterday—the second best time is now.”
