On May 25th, the Ellinwood couple were honored to be named prospective Presidential Electors for the Great State of Kansas. Nominations and selection occurred during the Kansas Democratic Party State Committee meeting held in Wichita.

Kansas has six (6) electoral votes that it will cast in the Presidential race - One for each of the four (4) Congressional Districts and one (1) for each US Senator. Rules require an Elector must attend the nominating convention as a Delegate.

When Joe Biden upsets expectations and carries Kansas in November, the Roth’s will be among those 6 to cast their Electoral College ballots.

Jo Ann serves as Barton County Chair and her husband Kent serves as Vice-Chair.
