KDP Chair Jeanna Repass Marks a Year of Progress

In February 2023, Jeanna Repass broke barriers to become the first ever elected Black Chair of the Kansas Democratic Party. This last weekend she marked her first anniversary presiding over the KDP.

Jeanna came into office with a program that emphasized local outreach and strength to the Counties, Caucuses and Congressional District organizations. She has been active in visiting Democrats across the state. Under her leadership, the KDP recruited a new executive director, expanded the headquarters team, and brought in new investors and activists to support our causes. The KDP has many efforts underway to increase support tools for candidates and incumbents and to increase communication and engagement - vital to breaking the Supermajorities here in Kansas and preserving democracy.

That she was elected during Black History Month in 2023 was just one more indication of how far our state can go when we break barriers and embrace talent. As Black History Month 2024 comes to a close, the HarvestBlue community extends our gratitude and congratulations to Chair Jeanna Repass.
